Stockmann department store in Estonia
The Tallinn department store is Stockmann’s first department store
abroad. Its opening ceremony was held in April 1996. For the
department store three additional floors were built and opened in
late March 2000. After the expansion the area of the department
store’s area increased form about 5 500 m2 up to more than 14 000
m2. A parking house for 400 cars was completed in 1999. The
Tallinn department store has the second largest area after the
department store in the center of Helsinki. The newest reformation
was the opening of the expanded food-stuffs department in 2001, it
had positive impact also to the other sales of the department
store.
