Marita’s rhubarb pie

4 eggs
1,5 dl sugar
4 tbsp boiling water
100 g melt butter
2,5 dl wheat flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 l rhubarb cut in pieces
sugar
almond flakes
150 g butter

Mix sugar and eggs and beat them into hard foam. Add boiling water one spoonful at a time. Add melted butter. Mix all the dry ingredients and carefully mix them into the batter. Pour the batter on a well-buttered pan. Sprinkle on top the rhubarb pieces, almond flakes and a generous amount of sugar to taste. Lastly shave 150 g cold butter on the pie. Bake the pie in oven at 175 degrees Celcius for about 40 minutes. Serve with genuine vanilla sauce.
